Ten teenagers were wounded in a shooting outside a nightclub in Queens on Wednesday night while they were waiting to enter the venue for a private party.
Police are searching for a group of men, believed by the NYPD to consist of four individuals, who are accused of firing at least 30 gunshots into a crowd of about 15 people gathered near the Amazura nightclub in Jamaica just before 11:20 p.m. The shooting occurred after a private event at the location.
After the incident, the suspects reportedly fled toward 143rd Avenue ang got in a light-colored sedan without license plates.
The victims, who included six females and four males, were aged between 16 and 19. All were rushed to a local hospital. Authorities confirmed that all the victims are expected to recover and that none of the injuries are life-threatening.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) reassured the public that the incident was “not a terrorist attack.”
