A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after a man in his 40s was stabbed in Abbey Wood. Police and paramedics rushed to Lensbury Way shortly after 8.45am this morning (Wednesday, December 11) following reports of an assault.
First responders found a man aged in his 40s had suffered stab injuries and was taken to hospital. The Metropolitan Police awaits an update on his condition.
A boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray, he has been taken into police custody.
Police enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 08:46hrs on Wednesday, 11 December to reports of an assault in Lensbury Way, SE2.
“Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended and found a man, aged in his 40s, suffering from stab injuries.
“We await an update on his condition.
“A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of affray. He has been taken into police custody.
“Enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.48am this morning (Wednesday 11 December) to reports of an assault in Lensbury Way, SE2.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre by road.”
