A 62-year-old, Saul Sanchez, has been arrested and charged with murder for allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old boy, Carlos Rivas, after a fight broke out between two boys and the old man in East Harlem, Manhattan, New York.
The fight broke out shortly after 6:00 PM inside K-Street Food restaurant. The police found three males with injuries: the 22-year-old had a stab wound in his hand, the 62-year-old man sustained a cut on his forehead, and the 17-year-old had stab wounds to his chest and lower abdomen.
The eyewitness and the owner of K-Street Food said two young men came in, and they seemed upset. She said the old man was placing a food order while the two young men stood behind and made comments. They started to fight inside, and shortly after, their fight spilled outside on the sidewalk, where Saul stabbed the 17-year-old.
He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals in Harlem, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The other two were also transported to the hospital and are now in stable condition.
Saul Sanchez was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation. He faces charges of second-degree murder, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
