A 31-year-old man from Desert Hot Springs, California, has been accused of engaging in sexual activity with a minor and producing child pornography.
Dakota Lessnau, a facilities technician based in Desert Hot Springs, was arrested in Palm Springs this week on Wednesday morning. He is currently being held without bail.
According to the sheriff’s department, a report was filed regarding sexual intercourse with a minor that took place in Yucca Valley on October 20th, which led San Bernardino County deputies to initiate an investigation.

At that time, Dakota was not at home; however, authorities searched the premises and discovered a rifle with an extended magazine, a suppressor, drugs, and potential evidence related to the sexual crime.
Later, authorities located Dakota in Palm Springs, where he was taken into custody.
He faces charges of unlawful sex with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, production of child pornography, sending obscene materials to a minor, and burglary.
