A 16-year-old boy was shot 13 times in New Brighton, Staten Island, on Thursday evening, according to the NYPD.
The incident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. near York Avenue and Pauw Street, where the boy was shot in the back, arms, and both legs, according to a spokeswoman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
The boy was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center in stable condition.
No arrests have been made so far, as there is no description of the shooter. Police said the shooter fled the scene, heading in an unknown direction near Prospect Avenue and Jersey Street.
