3 Dead, Including a Student, Teacher, and Shooter in a School Shooting in Wisconsin

Dane County, WI – A teenage girl student and a teacher were shot and killed, and six others were injured in a school shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison. The shooter was also killed.

Reportedly, a teenage student opened fire on Monday, December 16th, with a handgun, killing a teacher and a student just weeks before the Christmas holiday.

The shooter also injured other students during the attack. Out of the six injured students, two are in critical condition, while the other four sustained less serious injuries.

The shooter has been identified as a 15-year-old female, Natalie Rupnow, who went by the name “Samantha.” Authorities reported that she took her own life before officers arrived at the school.

Reportedly, Samatha shared a photo from school bathroom, just before the incident.

Authorities stated that a 15-year-old cannot legally possess a gun in Wisconsin, and part of the investigation is to determine how she obtained the firearm.

After the incident, children and their families were reunited at a medical building about a mile from the school.

Abundant Life Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school serving grades kindergarten through high school, with a student population of approximately 420.

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
