The case began back in 2006 in a very secluded small village in India. The majority of the people living in the village had just enough to survive. Jobs involved hard labor and low wages. Most adults worked long hours just to make ends meet, leaving the children of the village to fend for themselves.
There were many children in the village. They went to school and had daycare, but for the most part, they spent their time running around and playing outside.
One day in 2006, a six-year-old girl from the Sada family disappeared without any explanation. Her family never said anything or reported her missing. However, other villagers started noticing that they hadn’t seen the girl for a while.
A few months later, an eight-month-old baby girl from the Sada family also vanished without any explanation. Again, the family didn’t say anything to anyone.
A few months after that, a third child from the village mysteriously disappeared, but this time, it wasn’t a member of the Sada family.
One day, a six-month-old baby girl named Khushboo was taken to the local daycare by her mother. However, when her mother came to pick her up at the end of the day, her daughter was gone. No one at the daycare had any idea where Khushboo was.
Khushboo’s mother frantically ran up to anyone she could find in the village, asking if they had seen her daughter. She even approached a member of the Sada family to ask if they knew what had happened to Khushboo. To her surprise, the Sada family member claimed they might know what had happened. Together, they called the police.
When the police arrived, the Sada family member said they would get all the answers they were looking for if they spoke to the eight-year-old boy, Amarjeet Sada. When the police asked Amarjeet if he knew where the child was, he refused to speak until they gave him cookies. After being given the cookies, Amarjeet bluntly told the police, “She was sleeping in the school. I took her a little away and killed her with a stone and buried her.”
Amarjeet was taken into police custody, but he wouldn’t say much, only smiling. Amarjeet was known in the village as a bully and a mean kid, but no one believed he could be a killer.
Further investigation revealed that the Sada family had known about all the incidents and had kept them secret for almost a year.
Amarjeet’s first victim was his six-year-old cousin. He lured her to a field and then killed her. He went home and confessed to his family, including the cousin’s parents. Shockingly, the entire Sada family decided to keep this a dark secret to protect Amarjeet, who was only seven years old at the time.
His family tried to educate him that what he did was wrong, but only a few months later, Amarjeet took his second victim—his eight-month-old baby sister. As before, he confessed to his mother about killing his sister, and once again, the Sada family chose to cover it up.
Many professionals believe that Amarjeet is a textbook sadist. He never showed any remorse or gave any motive for his killings. It appeared he killed simply because he enjoyed or liked it.
Due to Indian law and Amarjeet’s age, he didn’t go to prison for his crimes. Instead, he lived in a home for child offenders until he turned 18. Upon reaching adulthood, Amarjeet was released under a new identity.
Born in 1998 in the village of Musahari in Bihar, Amarjeet is now 26 years old and living a life under a new name.
