Multnomah County, OR – A DJ from Portland was reportedly stabbed multiple times by an exotic dancer at a strip club where they both worked on Sunday, December 8th.
DJ Duncan Allen, 38, who was working at Casa Diablo Vegan Strip Club in Portland, was stabbed four times from behind by Peyton Colby Lathan, 29, who also worked at the same strip club as a dancer.
Duncan was standing at the DJ booth when Peyton attacked him from behind, as shown in an alleged video.
After the attack, Duncan went towards the kitchen, where other staff members helped him.
Speaking to a local news outlet, Duncan said, “It felt like a 500-pound man punched me in the back four times.”
“I was fading in and out of consciousness because of my blood loss and oxygen loss. Everything around me was getting blurry; everything was turning white,” DJ Duncan Allen said.
“It wasn’t until I went to take a breath and felt my back that I realized she had stabbed me. By that time, she was out the door, walking down the street like nothing happened,” he added.
When officials arrived at the location, they observed two stab wounds in his back and one under his left armpit.
Duncan was rushed to a hospital, where doctors discovered he had a punctured lung. He underwent multiple operations and was released from the hospital on Monday. He is expected to make a full recovery at home.
Authorities later searched for the suspect and found her hiding in bushes outside the club with two small knives nearby.
She was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, attempted first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon. Upon her arrest, she allegedly claimed she would plead insanity and accused Allen of being a drug dealer. She also stated that she had not consumed drugs or alcohol, according to court documents.
The motive for the attack remains unknown, and she is being held without bond.
Duncan claimed the attack was unprovoked.
The club owner, Johny Diablo, said, “She was always a little off, but she never exhibited signs of violent tendencies.”
“She definitely had a mental health crisis. I think she intended to kill someone, and it just happened to be Duncan. When I think about it, when she was in the dressing room for about 10 minutes, she seemed like she was possessed by a demon.”
