Four Family Members, Parents and Two Teen Boys Killed in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Four Hunt family members were discovered dead in their home in North Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday evening, January 12, 2025.

Parents Michelle Hunt (48) and Clifford Hunt Sr. (51), along with their teenage sons Clifford Hunt Jr. (19) and Cody Hunt (16), were named as the victims. Clifford Jr., the oldest son, is thought by authorities to have carried out the attack before killing himself.

A 911 call was placed from within the Hunt home on the evening of January 12. According to reports, 16-year-old Cody Hunt called to inform authorities of a shooting that was taking on.

When police arrived, they found the bodies of Michelle Hunt, 48, and Clifford Hunt Sr., 51, as well as their two kids, Cody, 19, and Clifford Jr. Sadly, both sons passed away from their wounds soon after being flown to a nearby hospital.

According to reports, Clifford Jr. was well-known for his passion for flying. His younger brother, Cody, who played the saxophone in the marching band and was a member of the National Honor Society, was recalled as a good-hearted person. Cody had just obtained his pilot’s license and hoped to join the U.S. Air Force.

With help from the FBI and other regional law enforcement organizations, the Beaver County Homicide Task Force is spearheading the investigation. The task force is asking anyone with information to call 724-773-3050.

Additionally, donations have been established to help the extended family with continuing support and burial expenses.
