Four People Found Dead Inside a Home in Pierce County

  • by

Deputies of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 18900 block of Eastwood Ave. E in Puyallup for a welfare check upon request at around 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Upon arrival, detectives made their way into the house and found the dead bodies of a male and a female. Detectives then obtained a search warrant to search the entire house, and they found two more bodies. All four were adults.

The detectives have identified the suspect, who is a 22-year-old male and the son of one of the male victims, aged 47. They have the suspect in custody.

Detectives said they believe the incident was contained in the home and there is no ongoing threat to the community or any outstanding suspects.

It’s unclear how long the four bodies had been in the home. According to PCSD, deputies previously made welfare checks at the home but did not have enough evidence to enter. Their most recent check was on Dec. 23.

This is expected to be an in-depth investigation involving forensics to piece together what led to the tragedy, as well as what injuries they may have sustained. The PCSD said it’s too soon to know whether this could be a homicide, and the agency has ruled out carbon monoxide poisoning as a possible cause of death.
