A man from Georgia killed his parents and his teenage son in a triple homicide. The suspect, 42-year-old Thomas Junior Babcock, was taken into custody on Friday in Chatham County. He was charged with three counts of murder in connection with the shooting deaths of his parents, Connie and Daniel Babcock, and his 14-year-old son, Junior “LJ” Babcock. He reportedly killed them inside their home.

Police stated they were dispatched to the residence around 9 a.m. that day. Upon arrival and entering the house, they discovered three people deceased with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but the family is demanding answers.

“We’ve lost two special people, not counting little Junior, the son. I mean, he was doing so well. We just really want answers,” said Redgie Oglesby, a relative of the victims.

An investigation into the shooting is currently ongoing, and the family said they expect to hear more from authorities in the coming days. “You couldn’t meet a better woman. Connie Babcock was a wonderful person, and I know she’s in heaven, along with Daniel Babcock,” added Oglesby.

Oglesby also recounted the devastating moment he learned of the incident. “I want to say around 10:30 or 11:00, I got a phone call from my brother about what had happened,” he said.

Meanwhile, LJ’s older sister, Paige Collins, is raising money for his funeral expenses through a GoFundMe campaign. LJ, who was set to turn 15 next month, loved fishing, gaming, and making people smile.

Family members described Connie and Daniel as god-fearing Christians who had adopted Thomas Junior as a baby and raised him as their son. “I ask for the community to pray for this family really hard because we really do need it right now,” said Oglesby.

Connie and Daniel’s greatest desire in life was to honor their faith by loving their family and helping others. The family expressed heartbreak over how sudden and unexpected this tragedy was.
