Robeson County, NC – A woman was shot and killed inside a Walmart on Friday afternoon, December 20th, according to the police department.
The Lumberton Police Department reportedly received a call about a shooting at around 3:45 p.m. at Woodforest Bank inside the Super Walmart on Fayetteville Road.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the floor inside the Walmart. Bystanders were performing life-saving measures.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died to her injuries.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene and has left the area.
Police are currently investigating the incident. Authorities believe no one else was harmed during the shooting.
